Japan Green Tobiko is a premium culinary ingredient prized in Japanese cuisine for its delightful aesthetic and distinctive sensory experience. Derived from the roe (eggs) of the flying fish, these semi-translucent, microscopic pearls are naturally seasoned with a blend of salt, soy sauce, mirin, and dashi, and then infused with wasabi to achieve their bright green color.

Unlike smaller roe varieties, Green Tobiko ranges between 0.5 to 0.8 mm in size and delivers a pronounced, satisfying "bubble-wrap" pop in every bite. Its flavor profile is elegantly balanced—offering a subtle briny ocean sweetness, a hint of smokiness, and a refreshing, tangy kick from the wasabi that does not overpower the dish.

Beyond its flavor, green tobiko is a healthy, low-calorie seafood packed with protein, selenium, and Omega-3 fatty acids. It is commonly used to coat uramaki (inside-out sushi rolls like California rolls), crown gunkan-style sushi, and add both a crunchy texture and visual pop to gourmet seafood dishes.
