The meaning behind the name
Bandara takes its name from the Sanskrit word bhāṇḍāra — a storehouse, a treasury, a place where things of value are kept. That idea became our name. And that name became our standard.
A treasury keeps only what is worth preserving. A storehouse protects what matters. At Bandara, those two ideas guide everything we select, store and bring to the table.

We work with products chosen for their quality, integrity and character: artisan meats prepared with patience, seafood sourced with care, cheeses selected at their best, baked goods made as they should be, and frozen foods that do not compromise on what good food should taste like.
We did not build Bandara simply to offer more. We built it to offer better.

Quality is not only about what a product is. It is also about how it is handled.
Bandara treats storage, temperature, packaging and delivery as part of the product itself. From selection to dispatch, our responsibility is to protect the work already invested by farmers, makers, producers, fishers, bakers and artisans — and to deliver it in the condition in which it deserves to be experienced.
We value craft that takes time, sourcing that can be explained, products that earn their place, and processes that refuse shortcuts simply because they are easier.
Who we serve
Bandara serves discerning home kitchens as well as chefs, retailers, resellers, hotels and hospitality teams.
